How to apply for passport, application process and recruitment documents ?

Here’s a general guide to applying for a passport in India. There are two ways of applying passport in India.

1. You can apply for passport from the official website of Indian Government https://www.passportindia.gov.in/ otherwise You can also apply from mPassport seva mobile application (App.)
2. Register on the Passport Seva Online Portal: Create an account on the Passport Seva Online Portal (https://portal2.passportindia.gov.in/).
3. Fill the Application Form: Log in to your account and fill out the application form with accurate details.
4. Schedule an Appointment: After filling out the form, schedule an appointment at the nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK).
5. Visit the Passport Office: On the day of your appointment, visit the Passport Seva Kendra or Post Office Passport Seva Kendra with all required documents.
6. Document Verification: Your documents will be verified at the Passport Office.
7. Biometric Data Collection: Provide your biometric data, including fingerprints and photograph, at the Passport Office.
8. Payment of Fees: Pay the applicable fees for your passport application.
9. Application Processing: After completing the above steps, your application will be processed.
10. Passport Dispatch: Once your application is approved, your passport will be dispatched to your address.

Documents required for passport application:

1. Proof of Address (Aadhar card, Voter ID, Utility bills, etc.)
2. Proof of Identity (Aadhar card, Voter ID, PAN card, etc.)
3. Birth Certificate
4. Passport-sized photographs
5. Any additional documents required based on the type of passport application (e.g., for minors, government employees, etc.)
