World’s first CNG bike will be launched on June 18: It will be named Bajaj Bruiser 125 CNG, will run at half the price of a petrol bike

Bajaj Auto is going to launch the world’s first bike running on CNG fuel on 18 June 2024. The company’s managing director Rajiv Bajaj gave this information in an interview to a media house. He attended the launch event of the company’s most powerful bike Pulsar 400. Bajaj said, ‘The world’s first CNG-powered motorcycle is going to be launched next month. Its running cost will be half that of a petrol-powered bike. This is a great innovation.’

The name may be Bruiser 125 CNG

They said, Amid rising fuel prices, Bajaj will target customers worried about rising running costs with this upcoming CNG model. This bike will be launched in different phases. It will be launched first in Maharashtra and later in those states where CNG stations are available. According to media reports, this CNG-powered bike can be named Bruiser 125 CNG. At the same time, Bajaj says that ‘we will create a portfolio of CNG bikes, which will include 100CC, 125CC and 150-160CC bikes.

CNG bike will cause less pollution

Bajaj Auto MD had told in an interview last month that the company will launch CNG bike in the first quarter of FY25. They had said that we want to reduce the cost of fuel by half. Rajiv had said about the new project that during the testing of the prototype, there has been a 50% reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) emission, 75% in carbon monoxide (CO) and about 90% reduction in non-methane hydrocarbon emission compared to petrol bike, that is, there will be less pollution from CNG bike. Hero-Honda has tested it 40 years ago Rajiv Bajaj had said, This motorcycle is potentially great for the environment. But we are promising to do what Reho Honda did 40 years ago. Then it effectively reduced the fuel cost by 50-65% or doubled the mileage.

Executive Director sought GST exemption from the government

Earlier in an interview with PTI, the company’s Executive Director Rakesh Sharma had given information about the launch of the CNG bike. He had also urged the government to reduce GST to 12% for its adoption. Sharma had said, Even if the government does not consider it equal to electric vehicles and impose 5% GST, it should at least impose less GST than petrol vehicles. That is, about 12% between the two. This will help both customers and companies.

New Chetak electric scooter will come this month

Today (May 3), at the launch event, Bajaj told about the upcoming products of the brand. Bajaj confirmed that a new Chetak electric scooter will be launched this month and the company will launch at least one new scooter every year. They said that some new products will also be seen soon in the three-wheeler segment. Bajaj Auto’s market share in this segment is about 80%. The company is also looking to enter the e-rickshaw market, where it does not have any product yet.

The company’s stock gave a return of 103.80% in one year

Bajaj Auto’s stock closed at Rs 9085 today i.e. on May 3 (Friday) with a marginal decline of 0.28%. The company’s shares have given a return of 2.78% in the last one week, negative 0.67% in one month, 68.03% in 6 months and 103.80% in one year. Only this year i.e. from January 1, 2024 till now, it has increased by 35.57%. The market cap of the company is Rs 2.54 lakh crore.
